There are some tiny and largely abandoned villages that present themselves like jewels to the Strollers who include them in their itinerary. Such was the case of Lazanias on 9 November, adding an extra sparkle to our day. A rumour that the village created the dish that the Venetian conquerors of Cyprus loved and adopted, spreading lasagne to the world, remains unchecked.
