A strong and varied group hiked at Teisia on 28 November, with a clear sky and enticing temperatures. The impressive collection of experiences Strollers gathered on 20 November, while hiking at Kionia, was summarized in a few splendid words by Varnavas. When we were all into dry clothes, enjoying a superb meal, his spontaneous remarks were “if it wasn’t for the rain over the closing 45 minutes of hiking, we would risk forgetting what now has become an unforgettable event”. On 14 November the Club conducted a climb to Mnimata Piskopon for the first time in its history of 15 seasons. Participants thoroughly enjoyed the day, aided by the weather befitting the season. What do you call the weather, when it is 6 November, at altitude above 1000 m, temperature is hovering around 25 centigrade, and there is not a cloud above? This was one main discussion point among the Strollers on Kourtellorotsos this Saturday. A large gathering of Cyprus Strollers rose beyond the daft weather forecasts and took the challenge of a double bill of hikes at Amiantos on 31 October. It turned out that the forecast of the day before, of a very rainy day, resulted in each of us packing the boot of our car with a full set of rain gear; only for it to remain there. Participants thoroughly enjoyed the day, and the only water we came across, in the river stream of Loumata Aeton.
