A wonderful blend of Strollers hiked on 11 May; in a thick forest along the banks of a river; in optimal cloudy weather; with spirited conversations around lunch, and contributions from frequent members as well as newcomers. We needed to wait for 10 years, to experience the first Club hike that was a treat to the ears, of all senses. On a perfectly cloudy day, a large gathering of Strollers cheerfully climbed up along river Kryos Potamos and then round the slopes of Pouziaris. We thank Elena and Eliza who playfully counted 17 wooden bridges assisting hikers crossing the river. Then there was one crossing with a slightly unstable wooden plank, for which we experienced a marvelous display of camaraderie from Martin, who offered more than a helping hand. The hike to Teisia (walls in Greek) on 16 March turned into a cheerful experience for all, for several reasons. We climbed to two summits offering real 360 views, from the bay of Morphou to the Akrotiri salt lake. We welcomed newcomers, among them a very young dynamic hiker! We experienced a marvelous display of solidarity by Petros, who helped Astrid inflate her reserve car tyre following a puncture!
