Bold and Beautiful on Madari – 3 May

There were no thunderstorms as forecast; just non-stop rain on Madari on 3 May. Which the gathering of bold Strollers tackled suitably, with a feeling of positive attitude dominant throughout, as well as over lunch. Participants felt that it was efforts such as this that turn mundane life into instances of sparkling and lasting experiences and memories. After all was said and done, Elena summed it up in 3 simple words: What a Day! Compliments to Martin for leading the Grand Circle and to Elena and Petros for the photos. These trouts were neither medium, nor well done – Platres 27 April

On a perfectly cloudy day, the gathering of regular and newcomer Strollers cheerfully climbed up along river Kryos Potamos and then round the slopes of Pouziaris on 27 April. Top rewards were the sighting of trouts in the river, a rare treat; then the singing of birds. Compliments to Martin for graciously leading the activity and to Maria for the photos. Thematic hiking – Aedonian 12 April

At the Cyprus Strollers we do not hike solely for the love of hiking. We add themes to our activities, thus turning them into events. Our themes act like props do, on stage or in a film. Indeed at Platres on 12 April we emphasized the singing of birds, poetry, and also European films that have caught the attention of participants. Compliments to Angelos for leading the activity and to Elena and Petros for the photos. Best wishes for Easter. Compliments to Maria and Franco for the photos. Join us next here https://cyprus-strollers.org/activities-description/platres-aedonian-12-april/

Champagne Hike – Teisia 29 March

Too good to be true? Not for the Cyprus Strollers. There was cheer all around during the hike and lunch on 29 March. On account of the favourable weather, the breath taking 360 views, the splashes of wit and humour, and the champagne (real French champagne) welcome at lunch, an ultra generous offering by Astrid and Gunnar! That’s ‘Hiking made Pleasant’. Thus, with every participant offering their wishes to the newlyweds, everyone went away rejoiced. Compliments to Petros and Anna for the photos. Ever grateful for our Forests – Agios Onoufrios 23 March

The Food and Agriculture Organisation is celebrating 80 years of existence this year. And it was the International day of Forests on 21 March, themed Forests and Foods. Plenty of food for thought to mark our hike of 23 March in Mahairas forest. Compliments to Nicos for his leadership and to Anna for the photos. You think you’ve seen Teisia? You haven’t seen much, until you will have experienced our hike + lunch activity on 29 March https://cyprus-strollers.org/activities-description/madari-teisia-circle-29-march/

Attitude that matters – Prodromos dam 15 March

A lovely gathering of Strollers flourished on Prodromos on 15 March. 6 m below normal – Lefkara lake 1 March

The weather was optimal, turnout great and the flowers of spring had started their show, with rosemary catching most attention. Yet, despite the attractions all along our path at lake of Lefkara, the most striking impression was the level of water, around 6 metres below normal, a sad consequence of another poor winter rainfall. Compliments to Martin for leading the event and to Petros and Elena for the photos. Join us next here https://cyprus-strollers.org/activities-description/scents-of-agros-2-linear-trails-9-march/
