Bridges on our way – Caledonian 13 April

On a perfectly cloudy day, a large gathering of Strollers cheerfully climbed up along river Kryos Potamos and then round the slopes of Pouziaris. We thank Elena and Eliza who playfully counted 17 wooden bridges assisting hikers crossing the river. Then there was one crossing with a slightly unstable wooden plank, for which we experienced a marvelous display of camaraderie from Martin, who offered more than a helping hand. Compliments to Eleni and Dimitris for the photos. Join us next here https://cyprus-strollers.org/activities-description/kapedes-agios-onoufrios-21-april/

P.S. We express our sympathy to Lisa who, having fallen behind and cut off from the group, she stumbled on a stone, fell, and fractured her wrist.

  1. All strollers joining this group, please keep with you the Cyprus emergency number 112. You will need it in case of emergency, such as a fall or a broken bone, as the group leader refuses to answer any calls before, during or after the hike, and states clearly that it is not his role to be concerned with emergencies. So be prepared to handle your own emergencies fully. Note: there is nothing quite like being injured and stranded on a mountain with the group leader determinedly unavailable by choice. Personally, I am still in hospital after surgery, will be in a cast for 35 days.
