Unforgettable Delikipos – 5 Feb.

Strollers know better than anybody that what goes up, comes back down again; what starts, has an end; people come and people go. The hike at Delikipos on Sunday 5 February was a delicious outing, in which the club welcomed once more new members, and also bid farewell to Laura, who leaves Cyprus for her next career challenge. Hiking took place in perfect weather, there were a record eight dogs, the landscape was beautiful, and the taverna meal an experience not easily found. Compliments to Koula, Christine and Teresa for the photos. Join us on 11 Feb. at Merikas  https://cyprus-strollers.org/activities-description/kalo-chorio-klirou-merikas-trail-sat-11-feb/

  1. I perfectly remember my first hike. It was last February, just some days after my arrival in Cyprus. I found by chance the link of the Cyprus Strollers’ website in the Tourist Office of Nicosia and I immediately signed up.
We were a large group of people that day, the weather was awful and at the beginning of the hike, we ran into a very strong storm. Finally, some minutes after, we hid all together in a very small shelter, sharing fruits and chocolate. At some point the storm became more gentle and it allowed us to take the way back and reach the taverna. We were all completely wet, but the warm welcoming I had during the lunch made me coming again and again!
In this way I became part of this big family, an anchorage during my year in Cyprus.
Thank you Strollers for all the amazing time we spent together, I am so grateful I could be part of the most pleasant hikes ever!
    Laura
